The Campbell Soup Foundation Announces $1.5 Million in Grants to Strengthen and Empower Healthy Communities
The Campbell Soup Foundation’s grantmaking focuses on three key areas: increasing healthy food access; encouraging healthy living; and nurturing Campbell neighborhoods. The Campbell’s Healthy Communities program is focused on improving the health of young people in communities where Campbell has operations. The 22 grantees are located primarily in Campbell’s hometown communities of

The grantees include:
Center for Environmental Transformation, which educates community members in Camdenabout urban agriculture, with a specific project focused on building, maintaining, and teaching in school gardens.
- Communities in Schools –
Robeson County, which focuses on increasing food access for students in Maxton, N.C., especially outside of school time.
- Wellness in the Schools, a longtime partner in Campbell’s Healthy Communities signature program, operates in several locations across Campbell’s footprint to bring healthier food to kids in schools, with a focus on nutrition education and menu change in the cafeteria.
